Original cabinet card of a seated woman and her two daughters, taken in the family home. In the background is a portrait of a man on the wall, obviously intentionally included by the photographer. Also of interest: girls appear to be wearing mourning dresses; the one on the right is holding a white handkerchief, and on the sofa in the background another is visible on the couch cushion. The mother might be wearing black velvet mourning ribbons around her waist.The back is blank so there is NO indication on the image where this was taken, however, this was acquired in part of larger collection of cabinet card, most with Saint Joseph, Missouri photographer imprints, so there\'s a good chance this was taken in St. Joseph as well.6.5\" x 4.25\".
