Sale! Save 40% on this very rare framed WWII poster.This poster is original and was created by British born artist Walter G. Wilkinson to help promote the Defense Bond Stamps program of the United States government during WWII. The poster shows a U.S. pilot giving the “thumbs up” from his cockpit on the tarmac, as the sky above him fills with U.S. Army Air Force planes and the poster’s tagline “you buy ‘em we’ll fly ‘em!”. This poster is a vintage original produced in 1942, when America became involed in World War II. The poster was issued folded, and as a resulthas a lateral and horizontal folds and is otherwise in nearly perfect “like new” condition with great color- NOT linen backed, but original. The poster comes with a customized wood frame which cost me $500!; the poster is not folded or glued in; customized protective glass on the outside.
