Upfor sale is this Rare Cabinet Card of Photographer& AssistantPrinter holding Wet Plate Printing Frames byP. Jurgens of St Paul Minnesota. In the lower left of the image onthe floor leaning against the tableis a large contact printing frame showing the springs. Thereis one cabinet card sized contact printing frame on the table. Theboy on the left is also holding a cabinetcard sized contact printing frame in onehand and the wooden back is in the other hand. Theyoung man on the right is also holding a large half open contactprinting frame and the wood brace and springs extend across to theboy on the left. They stand in the studio in front of a paintedoutdoor scene background of a lake and trees. The front mat belowthe image is stamped “P. Jurgens, ST. Paul, MINN.” Theedges are beveled with a gold gilding around the mat. Theback of the mount is stamped “P. Jurgens, SUCCESSOR TO Palmquist &Jurgens, Cor. Seventh and Robert Streets. St. Paul, Minn.

Thecontrast and tones are very good with rich dark sepia. Thefocus is sharp and the details are exceptional. Thephotographs of this image are very close to what the image looks likein person. There are no scuffs and onlyone small stain on the top of the background. The mount has somecorner bumps and the back has some light edge stains. These do notdetract from the rareness of this image. Themount is 4.25 inches by 6.5 inches.
