This poster was found along with a few others in the truck of a 1932 Packard that had been sitting in a garage for years. Here is the story — the Packard belonged to an Illinois politician who died in Chicago in 1933. In step with the era, this Chicago politician had a strong interest in the prohibition issue.There was much controversy at the time, with messages advertised everywhere both pro and con. The car remained in the Chicago garage until somewhere in the 1950s. Then it was sold to the second owner in the suburbs and moved to that garage. However, it was never restored, repaired or driven. It was simply kept in the garage as a \"spare parts\" car. Recently, the second owner moved to a senior living facility and younger members of the family (who are friends of ours) conducted an estate sale. We attended the sale and were delighted to discover the posters in the car. Definitely genuine!
