A vacfiller removal tool that is simple to use, has many benefits the other designsdo not have, is precision built and is very affordable.

The competition offers two designs that areavailable. The first, a tool based on the original designs of Parker vac blocksused by Parker repairmen back in the days of traveling repairmen. Both of thesetype tools have several problem areas as listed below.

Whileboth of these tools were good designs at one time I believe the Vac Extractorsurpasses both designs in many ways. First, the tool is lightweight,comfortable to hold and use, produces incredible gripping strength without theworry of thread damage or deformation. The filler unit can be left in the toolwhile performing other operations such as cleaning, inspection and installingthe new diaphragm. The tool comes with both sizes of collets to work on all sizeof Vacumatics, Debutante, Standard, Major, Oversized, Maxima and Parker 51 Italso comes in a convenient storage case. The Vac Extractor is made in the US and is madefrom 6061 Aluminum and stainless steel. I designed the Vac Extractor after the lastfountain pen show I attended earlier this year. After talking to multiple vendorsand watching them use the currently available tools it became apparent to methat a new and completely different tool design was needed. I began engineeringthis design as soon as I returned home. I continued working on the design,began the first of many trial and errors and eventually had a proof of concept.I then began prototyping and testing and had a design that surprised evenmyself of how well it performed.
