Original Ohara Koson (Japanese. 1877-1945) "Geese at Full Moon" wood block print. Published byWatanabe Shozaburo. Circa sometime between 1925-1936. Signed by Koson and sealed with Watanabe seal. In vintage solid wood frame, matted, and with glass cover. It was framed by Livingston Galleries in Manhattan, New York.
We removed it from the frame to determine if it was an original and we do believe it is. However it is double matted so we cannot see the back of the print. We did not feel comfortable trying to take the print off the backing and matting as they feel married to each other and we did not want to ruin it.
Frame is 20" by 12 1/4" and 1/2" depth. Mat window is approx 14 3/8" by 6 3/8".
Frame has knicks and dings. No chips or cracks in glass. Mat has some age patina.
