Beautiful oil painting on canvas by Bill Rains, a well known Montana artist, made famous by his Bronzes. He also painted as shown by this great painting of a native woman with a baby cradle on her back riding her paint mare followed by a paint foal moving her supplies with her across the plains with Devils Tower in the background. Surrounded by sage, riding the prairie and she has a quirt in her hand. Signature is on lower left.
Reverse has "Original Oil Painting Artist with his signature /44. ". A personal note as well.
Size of outside of frame is 14 3/4 x 11 3/4. Painting is 12 x 9.
