Up for sale is a used Delta Electronics OIB-1 (Operating Impedance Bridge S/N 1013). This device is typically used to measure the electrical characteristics of Vertical AM Broadcast Towers. It measures an antenna's operating resistance and reactance under normal transmitting power thus allowing for accurate ATU (Antenna Tuning Unit) adjustments in order to provide a perfect match of a non-resonant antenna to a transmitter's 50 Ohm characteristic output impedance. I have recently retired as a contract broadcast engineer and am no longer in need of it. I paid over $1,000 for this. My loss is your gain.Its correct operation has been verified. There are no dead spots in the controls. This instrument is calibrated for use up to 5 Mhz. It is designed to operate with a maximum throughput power of 5 kW with a limit of 10 kW input power up to 2 Mhz.This instrument may also be useful to licensed Amateur Radio Operators with antennas for the 80- and 160-meter bands.
