This listing is for a model tornado display which produces a 4-foot vortex from dry ice, fog machine or burning alcohol/kerosene (firenado). The display was built for The Weather Channel's premiere event for their new series "3 Scientists Walk Into a Bar." This would make a great display for a science museum, classroom or bar/club.More than 100 hours of passion, labor and love went into the creation of this model. It is the epitome of ruggedness, reliability and efficiency. It can run continuously for hours at a time with no intervention other than keeping the vortex fed (dry ice, fog, etc.). The unit features variable speed primary and lateral fans, as well as integrated, variable intensity LED lighting. The model is powered by low-voltage DC power supplied by an included power supply.The model was built from easy-to-obtain, non-specialized parts, which will ease future maintenance or repair.
