Frontiers (1800s) Style Clip Point Hunting Bowie; - Free Shipping; Dramatic andwell-made custom bowie. Similar in design to the frontier bowies of the 1800s. Full tang 10 inch high carbonsteel blade; overall length -15 inches; blade thickness - .875"; fuller - 5 inches; handle made of yellow stained bone; aluminum guard and pommel; leather sheath; weight (knife only) -14 ounces; weight knife & sheath- 19 ounces.Fantastic eye appeal. Useful for boar hunting, survival in thejungle (urban or otherwise), or just as a general bush craft knife. Do not know who made this and when, but it is a high quality made knife. The blade shape (except for the fuller and guard) is similar to the Roby Mfg. bowie made in Massachusetts, 1867-1875 (Page 304 of the Bade Guide to Knives & their Values/ F&W Publications-2005)
