Here we have a lot of 6 lighting ballast circuit testers for use with mercury vapor and fluorescent lighting fixtures.

The main attraction is a General Electric MCT Mercury Circuit Tester. It was designed to test the output of Mercury Vapor fixtures from 175 through 400 watts. This tester appears to have been manufactured in the 1960s. We used it in our electrical contracting business. It worked the last time we used it but it has not been used for many years. It is in its original protective foam sleeve packaging. The operating instructions are printed on the outside of the sleeve.

Also included in this lot are 5 testers for use with fluorescent fixtures. These were made by GE as well. There are three for use with HO and VHO ballasts and two for use with F40 bi-pin fixtures. These testers all appear to be new but they are dirty from sitting around. Some of them are still in the original packages and have instruction sheets included. Please note that these testers will work with magnetic type ballasts only. These are not compatible with electronic ballasts.
