Unusual COLORFUL WWI PATRIOTIC POSTER, Factory Related, 3rd Liberty Loan, GREAT LARGE FLAG

DESCRIPTION:Scans show it all.....original, EXTREMELY COLORFUL WWI patriotic poster. Shows large INDUSTRIAL HONOR FLAG. Reads \"Help us win the right to fly this flag---by investing in government bonds of the third liberty loan......if 60% of our workers subscribe to the loan, we will be awarded the industrial honor flag shown above. Another star for each additional 10%\". Also says under the flag, \"this is the insustrial honor flag, size 3 ft. x 5 ft\".

This was probably hung or pasted up in a factory. Meant to encourage contributions and patriotic support among their workers. At the bottom says printed by \'W. F. Powers Co. Litho, NY\'.

VERY PATRIOTIC AND EXTREMELY COLORFUL !!!.

Printed on thin paper as most WWI posters were. They were never intended to last forever when printed at the time. This one was obviously kept as a souvenir. HUGE SIZE, about 21\" x 28\". In excellent condition overall considering the age. Very clean and only 1 small chip at the top left edge. A couple of very small 1\" reverse-repaired tears. These are very minor edge defects, hardly noticeable, and will easily be covered by the matte or frame. It would also look good putting it up just as it is.

The good part about this one is that it is VERY CLEAN and there are no stains or foxing. The paper is also crisp and not worn.This condition is especiallynice since posters were never intended to last forever when printed. 100 YEARS OLD NOW !!

A really neat appearing large WWI patriotic poster, AND ONE OF THE MOST COLORFUL ONES YOU WILL FIND, especially with such a great looking, unusual flag. A great decoration for any collection or family room or man cave !!
