Gorgeous crystal dresser jar with Gorham sterling silver lid have finely rendered hand painted enamel scene depicting the Goddess Ceres dressed in flowing robes riding a rain cloud with a sheaf of wheat on her back and a sickle in her hand. Marked along side of lid with the Gorham lion, anchor, G mark and “STERLING D710”. Measures 5.5in diameter x 3.5in height overall, lid only is 3.75in diameter. Condition: small dents like teething marks along edge of rim, enamel portion is in excellent condition, no chips to glass jar, some very faint scratches to bottom of jar.
