Up for sale is a 10 issue run in the series Green Arrow (2001) Issues #41-50.

Green Arrow is a DC superhero who first appeared in 1941. His real name is Oliver Queen, a billionaire businessman and owner of Queen Industries. Sometimes shown dressed like Robin Hood, Green Arrow is an archer who uses his skills to fight crime in his home cities of Star City and Seattle, as well as alongside his fellow superheroes as a member of the Justice League.

In 1988, DC Comics launched the character into a new ongoing title as part of their mature audience comic line.This series would last for 137 issues, plus several annuals. After Issue #101\'s \"death\" of Oliver Queen, the series focused on Oliver\'s son, Connor Hawke as the new Green Arrow.

Oliver Queen is revived in 2001\'s Green Arrow (vol. 3) as part of the \"Quiver\" story arc, written by Kevin Smith and illustrated by Phil Hester. He also picked up a new sidekick, Mia Dearden, who would become the new Speedy, under Oliver\'s tutelage.

AfterKevin Smith then left the title,Brad Meltzer took over as writer.Judd Winick took over as Green Arrow\'s writer with Issue #26. Mia Dearden, the new Speedy, was revealed to be HIV positive in Issue #43.Green Arrow\'s Rogues Gallery was also expanded with with Merlyn the archer, Constantine Drakon, as well as Danny Brickwell (the Brick).Other DC villains, such as the Riddler, made guest appearances throughout his run.

This new series would last 75 issues, and conclude with the marriage of Green Arrow and Black Canary.

In 2012, the television series Arrow debuted on The CW, in which Green Arrow is portrayed by Stephen Amell, and launching several spin-off series, becoming the starting point for a DC Comics shared television universe called the Arrowverse.

As stated above, this listing is for Green Arrow (2001) Issues #41-50. Highlights include:

Issues #41-43, published in 2004, were written by Judd Winick, with art by Phil Hester, andcovers by Javier Rodriquez and Marcos Martin. These issues continue the origin story of the newest crime boss Brick.

In Issue #44, Mia learns that she is HIV positive.

Mia officially becomes the new Speedy, sidekick to Green Arrow, in Issue #45.

Mia joins theTeen Titans (Cyborg, Beast Boy, Kid Flash, Raven, Robin, Superboy, and Wonder Girl) inIssue #46, with a great cover by James Jean.

Constantine Drakon, one of GA\'s best villains, returns in Issues #47-48.

Arsenal fights Drakon in Issue #49. Guest starring the Outsiders, and one of Batman\'s oldest villains, the Riddler.

Issue #50 is a double-sized issue, with GA, and the rest of the Team Arrow (Connor, Arsenal, Mia) facing off against the Riddler. Guest starring Deathstroke the Terminator.

All of the books are first prints and come bagged and boarded and are in the Very Fine to Near Mint range.

Grading is subjective, and only my opinion. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions before offerding.

These issues book for over $30, but my starting price is just $15, which is just$1.50 an issue.

All comics have been stored properly in a smoke free home, and have been sealed since purchase.
