The skull is a REPLICA (but a very good one) of a Mesohippus Bairdi. The piece of a jaw bone is GENUINE and also from a Mesohippus. NOTE: The jaw bone was broken in two and repaired at some point.

This resin skull is a cast of a real one and looks very real itself. It has an underbite but the original owner said \"that\'s how it is\". I\'ve owned this skull for well over 16 years..... It was the centerpiece of my equine collection. I\'ve paired the replica skull with the genuine jawbone because the 2 together are pretty interesting. When you hold the genuine jaw bone up beside the skull, you get a better appreciation of the animals size.
