Army Hat BadgeThis being the Field Marshall grade for wartime use and as such, old manufacturers military tailor shop stockas there was little or no need for these to be issued as to the lack of Fieldmarshalls being appointed, but the contractor making all the badges still needed to supply each type ordered, these sat for years unused until cleared when the officers and soldiers tailor shop closedleaving behind a small treasure of collectors dream grade unissued badgesfor the higher ranks now obsoleteThis beautiful badge is in gold bullion thread and highly detailedI know there were two official versions of this badge, the smaller sized for the beretand the larger full sized hat badge which is this onemeasures approx 70mm/ 7cm tallabout 50mm /5cm wide
