Tooth is about 1 cm long.
This was found in Waurika, Oklahoma on the Ryan Formation.
This tooth is over 250 million years old!
One side looks fantastic, the other side has enamel chipped away.

Eryops,genusof extinctprimitiveamphibians found as fossils in Permian rocks inNorth America(the Permian period occurred from 299 million to 251 million years ago).Eryopswas a massiveanimalmore than 2 m (6 feet) long. Its largeskullhad thick and uneven bones, with wrinkles. The eye sockets were large and directed upward. Large and pointed teeth grew along the margins of the jaws and on the palate. The strength and size of thevertebral columnand the skeletal limb elements indicate thatEryopswas well suited to moving about on land. Although short, the limbs were very broad, and the shoulder and hip girdles were massive. The skin bore bony nodules that probably provided a sort of protective armor against predators.Eryopswas a predator that subsisted to a large extent upon fish, although it probably preyed upon land vertebrates as well. The structure of its limb girdle and ribs suggests that it was among the most successful of early amphibians class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;">
