This is acolorful SPLIT PAIR Olenellusthompsoni(?)from the Lower Cambrian of the Fruitville Quarry, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This classic locality has beeninaccessible to the publicfor the last 30 years-almost all specimens from this site were found decades ago. Thisstriking specimen was found by Steve Hess in the early 1980\'s, and has been inhis collection ever since.Thisclassic fossil showcasesa large, colorful trilobite.The distinctspecimen isquitedetailedandhas part of the elusive telson (tailspine) intact,which issomewhat unusual(see close-up photo).
