Jay Norwood Ding Darling, was a cartoonist for the
Des Moines Sunday Register, out of Des Moines , Iowa Winner of 2 Pulitzer Prizes in his lifetime.
He was friends of the President of the United States, hung out with politicians and all the big wigs . He helped Create the FEDERAL DUCK STAMP PROGRAM FOR WILDLIFE AS WELL. This probably appeared in the DES MOINES Sunday register, Signed by him, lower Right.
This original drawing was shown to the Ding Darling people at the Ding Darling Society, , in Sanibel , Fla, they are working with me to find more information on this particular piece!
