The Blade is Hand Forged with1095 & 15N20High and Low Carbon Steel with over200Layers. This blade is up to58HRC on Rockwell Scale which determines for holding sharpness for a long period and could also be use for Tough Work. Handle is approx 5" red laminate wood with four brass pins and stainless hilts while blade is approx 4.25" drop point, the layers make a beautiful pattern blade, you will be pleased. Blade locks up tight.
THERE APPEARS TO BE A SEPARATION OF STEEL LAYERS ON THE EDGE. I THINK IT CAN BE GROUND OUT IF YOU HAVE THE SKILLS, PHOTS TOUGH TO SHOW IT LOOKS LIKE FAIRLY SHALLOW PRICE KNOCKED WAY DOWN AS A RESULT
Damascus blades need to be well cleaned then oiled after each use. Very sweet and classic knife
