Doctor Spectrum is a superheroappearing incomics published by Marvel Comics. He is amember ofthe super team Squadron Supreme. Like DC\'s Green Lantern, Doctor Spectrum uses a Power Prismto project and manipulate light energy; create light energy constructs;flight; and to survive inspace.

In 2003, Marvel launched a Squadron Supreme series. A year later, in 2004, Doctor Spectrum was given his own six issue limited series. Like the Squadron Supreme series, this series was also amature-audience Marvel MAX series.

This series tellshow Joseph Ledger, a soldier in the United States Army, accidentally bonds with a crystal found in the vessel that broughtHyperion to Earth.The storywaswritten by Sara Barnes and art byTravel Foreman, and covers by Dale Keown (Incredible Hulk). Operating in a military-style uniform,Doctor Spectrum encounters and battles Hyperion, forming a truce with him to hunt down a super-powered serial killer. Doctor Spectrum also begins aromance with fellow superhuman Amphibian.Both eventually join theSquadron Supreme.

As mentioned above, this listing is for Doctor Spectrum (2004) 1-6. Highlights include:

Issue #1, published in 2004, was writtenby Sara Barnes, with artby Travel Foreman, and a cover by the great Dale Keown.

Issue #2 has Doctor Spectrum meeting Hyperion. With another Keown cover.

We find out what happens when you try to tamper with the crystal on Ledger\'s arm in Issue #3.

Gary Frank provides the cover for Issue #4.

Dale Keown returns to do the cover for Issue #5 as Doctor Spectrum is kidnapped.

Issue #6 is the final issue in this limited series, with a cover by Gary Frank. Guest starring Hyperion.

These books come bagged and boarded, and I would place them all in the Very Fine to Near Mint range for condition.I have included photos of each issue\'s front cover.

I have tried to accurately grade these books, but grading is subjective, and only my opinion. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions before offerding.

These issues book for over $18 but my starting price is just $9, which is just$1.50 an issue.

All comics have been stored properly in a smoke free home, and have been sealed since purchase.
