Diet Rite was invented by Royal Crown beverages in 1955. It was originally marketed as a "dietetic" drink. It was released to the public nationwide in 1962. It was originally sweetened with cyclamates and saccharin.
This product became very successful, and the other major soft drink makers followed suit with their own versions of diet soda, such as Tab and Diet Pepsi.

This is a perfectly clear soda bottle featuring all around the bottle. It features a unique groove to hold the bottle with. On the neck, it features "Diet Rite Cola" on both sides of the neck.
The bottle was made by the Glenshaw Glass Works of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania and is dated 1981, 44 years ago.
The bottle is full. The graphics are perfect, very little case wear. It also has a brilliant crown cap that reads, "Diet Rite Cola". This is a large 16 oz. bottle.
