Eight (8) letters or numbers fit b est but I can add more. Please keep in mind, though, that the more letters or numbers you add the TEXT will be smaller. The vibrant colors are fused to a polymer coating using heat and pressure. Polymers have a natural UV protection which will keep these license plates from fading and they will look great for years to come.
These are NOT embossed or textured or raised in any way. They are smooth, glossy and maintenance free.
