This listing is for an authentic vintage sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This wire features an unknown patentee. This wire is called \"Concertina - US WWII Military Wire\" by collectors. (ref. Hagemeier 6-E). This wire features a single round high tensile line wire. Line wire is kinked at barbing location. Barbs are four pointed made by twisting two round barbing wires together around kink in the line wire. This wire came in to clipped together coils of wire, with a pair of wire handles at each end. It was laid by two soldiers gripping a pair of handles and backing away from each other. Wire coils opened like a musical concertina.Wire sample is a minimum of 18\" in length. It showsage and use wear withlight pitting. There areeight barbs, well spaced, and cut is well centered. There is some bending of points, but no broken, or missing barbs. Wire is in good used condition.
