Cheech Wizard Schizophrenia offersmore intrigue than most underground comic books because of the autobiographicalmonologue provided by Vaughn Bode, which accompanies the Cheech Wizard stripsthroughout the book. During the monologue, Bodé is garbed in a wizard-like gownand stands below a starry night sky on some celestial planet while spinning anexplanation of his life, his multi-faceted soxual leanings, and his affinitywith mysticism.

While the Cheech Wizard strips are good, I think it would have been great ifBodé had produced an entire comic devoted to VaughnBodé's philosophy and outlook on life (and death). After all, Crumb filledthousands of pages with his meanderings; I would love a few more from Bodé.
