Kennedyand aboard USSGeorge Washington, before finally returning toDwight D. Eisenhowerin 2006–2007.Two deployments aboardDwight D. Eisenhowerfollowed in 2009 and 2010.

As part of Operation Vigilant Resolve on 28 April 2004, Carrier Air Wing Seven squadrons VFA-136, VFA-131, VF-11 and VF-143flew combat air sorties against insurgents in Fallujah,droppinglaser-guided bombson insurgent positions, while providing combat air support.

In April and May 2008, CVW-7\'s strike fighter squadrons accompaniedGeorge Washingtonfrom Norfolk, Virginia, to San Diego, California. Although formally assigned toCVW-17, the squadrons kept their \"AG\" tail code.Four deployments aboardDwight D. Eisenhowerfollowed in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.In 2015, CVW-7 was reassigned to USS Harry S. Trumanand began a scheduled deployment to the 6th Fleet and 5th Fleetareas of operation on 16 November.On May 22, 2018 CVW-7 was assigned toUSS Abraham Lincoln.
