Bill Watterson is notorious for refusing to merchandise Calvin & Hobbes like The Simpsons did—preferring that they live only in the world of his comic strips.
HOWEVER, it is well known that there were a few exceptions made early on in the life of C&H. One of those few exceptions were 2 licensed calendars approved of by Watterson in the late 1980s. This letter serves as verification of Watterson’s approval of these licensed items. It is a momentous collectible in the world of C&H and a centerpiece of any C&H collection.
