This is an antique match stick. According to my late mother, it belonged to the late west Texas Rancher Frank Gillespie, a connoisseur of fine cigars, Hereford cattle, fast horses and faster women.
On one end is a wick. The other end removes to allow the lighter fluid to be inserted. The chain I feel must be missing the hook or T as it was designed to go in a man’s pocket. Also missing is the cover for the wick. The wick cover contained the striker and when pulled off of the “match stick “ it would ignite the wick.
