Superb, pure bronze, signed, Degas ballerina figurine, or "Little Dancer of Fourteen Years", securely mounted on rectangular black marble base.

This extremely high quality bronze, produced by the hot cast, lost wax technique, is mounted on a rectangular marble base.

Dimensional Data

The statue, overall, including marble base is 200 mm (8") high, & weighs 0,95 kgs (2 lbs)
The bronze plinth upon which she stands is 70 mm (2 3/4") wide x 50 mm (2") deep x 6 mm (1/4") thick
The rectangular black marble base is 88 mm (3 1/2") wide, x 68 mm (2 5/8") deep x 20 mm (3/4") thick.

A stunning bronze piece, with incredible detail, adding distinction as either a centrepiece, or main attraction to any dwelling.
An excellent reproduction of the original, Impressionist c1881 version by Edgar Degas,arenowned French painter & sculptor, ( 1834-1917), most famous for his exquisitely detailed figurines on the subject of dance.
This one issigned "Degas" & also contains the bronze foundry coin.
