We are pleased to offer for your considerationan ANTIQUE ERIE GRISWOLD CAST IRON SLANT LOGO HANDLED GRIDDLE # 8, Part No. 738 with X REINFORCEMENT. Circa 1907 - 1912. This griddle is marked on the bottom: 8 ERIE 738 Griswold Slant logo; on the top of the handle: 8. It is in very good condition with no cracks, no warping, no damage noted. It sits flat on a hard surface with no wobble. The cooking surface is smooth to the touch with the original circular milling marks still very visible. It does have some minor utensil scratches to be expected, and a few very tiny shallow casting flaws or pitting which will be covered when seasoned and used. The underside of this griddle does have shallow pitting across the surface, and some casting flaws or pitting in a couple of areas in the grooved ring at the outer edge. It had been used and has now been gently cleaned and restored to like-new condition, then lightly coated with Crisco to prevent rusting. It is ready to use after the recommended seasoning process.

MEASUREMENTS: Approximately 9 1/2\" in diameter; approx. 13 1/2\" long from tip of handle to outer edge; approx. 8 1/4\" diameter cooking surface; approx. 5/8\" deep.
