The Rapid Traction Device (RTD) is an awesome compact traction device for splinting lower extremities. The system is made up of a folding aluminum pole, color coded elastic leg straps (may or may not have embroidered wording identification), adjustable ankle hitch, and adjustable groin strap. Used by the Military, EMS, Ski Patrol and Remote Wilderness First Responders & Guides. The compactness and ease of use is quickly making them the device of choice for long bone fracture traction worldwide. Fits in a 12” x 6” pouch, and since you don't at have to jack the leg up in the air (like with Hares etc.) to use it, the RTD can be applied by a single rescuer with much less movement and discomfort to the patient. Ski Boot Hitch Attachment is also included.
