1989 NASA MOON & MARS REPORT - 90 DAY STUDY ON HUMAN EXPLORATION - MARS ROVER:

This recent find comes from the Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Engineer who served in WWII prior to becoming an engineer. He began his Aerospace career with the Materials Branch of the Guided Missile Development Division at Redstone Arsenal in 1951 and in 1960 transferred to NASA working under Wernher von Braun. He specialized in evaluating and testing materials for rockets and spacecraft including researching effects of low temp and hydrogen on materials. He was awarded Exceptional Service Medal and Yuri Gagarin Diploma among many others for his work on the Saturn, Apollo, Apollo-Soyuz and early Space Shuttle Development programs. He served as Deputy Chief of Materials Division and then later Assistant Director of the Material and Processes Laboratory.
