I'm not a history expert, but I've done some research. Operation Deep Freeze was a mission from the U.S. Naval Oceanographic Office to conduct marine geophysical research in Antarctica. DEEP FREEZE 62 represents the 8th consecutive year of this mission. Now, I have not been able to find any information on the Forest District. If you happen to know anything about this, please reach out! I'd love to know more.
