Here is a really odd piece of quack medical gear I bought a couple months ago at sale.
Consists of a heavy black bakelite type plastic case with a detachable ozone tube array assembly that is tethered via a thick cable to the main housing.
All that is inside is an on/off switch, an adjustable intensity rheostat type control, & bare wires !!!
When I got it home from sale and removed the bottom plate for inspection, the entire inside was stuffed with old very dry 1980s era newspapers - no control type circuitry inside !!!
Now, that\'s why children, always inspect your vintage electrical devices prior to plugging them into a wall outlet !!!
Measures about 18 inches wide, 8 inches in depth, and 6 inches tall when the tube array is seated on the top of the case.
Weights about 9 pound stand-alone.
The detachable array is intact with no damage to the actual tubes which look to be an acrylic type plastic material, I don\'t think they are glass as it doesn\'t sound like glass when lightly tapped.
Has a nice looking side located black and gold stencil label that says DIAMOND-OZONE GENERATOR Use 110 120 - A.C. Current Only 50-60 Cycles Made By ATLAS-OZONE MFG. CO. 314 Voris Street Peoria, Illinois PAT. - PEND.
As you can see, its an incomplete unit and for display only !!!
I really don\'t know much more about the unit, not sure if this was an old project for restoration or what.
I can find no info about this particular model unit.
So, that being said - its sold as is as pictured - no testing has been done by myself.
Would be a cool piece if restored to working order.
