For sale is a wonderful hand carved circa 1920’s - 1930’s Arts & Crafts Newcomb Macklin picture frame.

This frame has a wonderfully carved cassetta inner molding with a carved reeded outer edge with hand carved detailing running the length of each molding. It retains the classic Newcomb Macklin corner splines on the reverse corners (see pictures)

A very rare Newcomb Macklin model frame.

Retains an Original Detroit gallery/framing label (see pic)

The surface is Newcomb Macklin’s original Roman Gilt (bronze powder) (not gold gilded) with some areas of loss as is age appropriate for age.

Overall condition is very good. Very sturdy and ready to frame a painting print or mirror.
