Antique war-fund contribution token given to German citizens. The token is from 1916.
Made of iron. The obverse has relief inscription portraying a woman figure giving away golden jewelry with the day in her feet and \"In eiserner zeit\" above, translating into \"In an iron age\".The reverse side says \"gold gab ich zur wehr eisen nahm ich zur ehr\", approximately meaning \"I gave Gold for iron and took honor.\". The engraver name is seen below \"\"Hosaeus\".The token has minor wearing. Few tiny dents at the edges. No large dents, no deep scratches. In very well preserved condition.

Token diameter x thickness: 40 x 3 mm / 1.57 x 0.11 inches
