The American State Supreme Judicial Court, after protracted legal argument, gave the go ahead for
Gay marriages to take place in the State of Massachusetts, from midnight Sunday 16th May '04.
Couples started queuing 24 hours before deadline.

Should be interesting to see how this law pans out.
It should provide fat fees for the divorce lawers, since (I believe) same sex liasons, do not last as long as heterosexual marriages.
Let smake a real mess, and marry threesomes or more?
Also interesting that same sex marriages have arrived at the time heterosexual marriages are failing more often in the western world.
Not that marriage is any stronger in the Middle Eastern world. I dont consider Moslems saying "I divorce you" three times, a panacea for a long marriage.
Any couple can co'opt to live together, without taking legal vows....even threesomes, foursomes or more can legally live under the same roof.
Pity the law dosnt include a verbal addition WITHIN
the marriage vows, that both parties must equally provide for any children,....natural or adopted.
Watch out Massachusetts for a population influx, Salem included.
