Unnecessary criticism aside,he pointed you to very real tech problems.
I am not sure (or aware) who and where reached any perfect point before, but there's a long way before these problems might have a reasonable solution, if any.
And he is also quite right about the political bull surrounding this issues.For the time being, they have much more weight as political capital than as viable tech solutions.Try to remember that.And don't always rely on the scientifical wisdom of those lobbying such issues,very often it amounts to nil; almost always it is a matter of business, of making money irrespective of whether the proposed solutions will ever work.
