Re: Bringing the Sun down to Earth? (Not Telling)

Hey stooopid, hydrogen is not mined. It is a secondary storage medium for a primary energy source. The Second Law of Thermodynamics then says the H*Y*D*R*O*G*E*N car - or any hydrogen economy - is horrible political bullshit. Ditto fuel ethanol.

Did you ever work in a refinery? Hydrogen costs like sin. Alphatic unsaturation is a world-class pisser in petrochemical feedstocks.

There isn't any dense way of storing hydrogen - under pressure, crygenically, chemisorbed in HYSTOR alloy, adsorbed on carbon nanotubes or in nanoporous solids. It's all bullshit. Run the numbers yourself, combustion calories/cm^3 vs. gasoline.

Automotive fuel cells are bullshit. They are irreversibly poisoned by traces of carbon monoxide or sulfur compounds, as in parts-per-million. Now why would there be any carbon monoxide near a car, or any sulfur in vulcanized rubber (e.g., tires).

Wind generators kill birds by the thousands. The ground around wind generators is littered with bones. Tell Uncle Al how that is An Enviro-whiner good thing.

Uncle Al says, "If you want to make omlettes you have to kill chickens. If you want to live like a Republican you must vote for Democrats."
