Well given the incredible economic miracle brought by the gropenator to California I haven't heard any more talk of it ... but you are correct. The GOP, following up on the incredible likes of Spiro Agnew, Dan Quayle, and Junior Bush seems intent on putting forth good looks over quality of intellect.

Which is not to let the Dems off the hook as they seem equally intent on being whatever it is that they are. Something I'm still trying to figure out.

Either way ... I prefer someone that can't keep his zipper up to someone that has killed 700 Americans and countless Iraqi's because someone once threatened his daddy.

But it does seem the ignorance of the American electorate knows no bounds. Thus ... look at what they put into office. Representative democracy is alive and well. Those elected represent the ignorance of those that voted for them.

I have accepted a teaching position in Ireland for a bit of this summer and I'm thinking I might just stay. ;-)
