Science and religion are orthogonal.
Mystics are baffled by the obvious yet possess a complete understanding of the nonexistent. A summary of 60 religions in 60 lines. Cults of Yaweh share three outstanding characteristics:
- Post mortem escrow. God, omnipotent omiscient omnibenevolent creator of the universe, is always short of pocket change. Pay up in the here and now; we promise you principal plus interest in an afterlife.
- Dominus et magister noster Iesus Christus dicendo "Poenitentiam agite adpropinquavit enim regnum caelorum" omnem vitam fidelium penitentiam esse voluit."
- Convert or kill (or both - the New World) anybody who disagrees with you.
Jews are especially bad at pitching #3. They are also especially good at catching #3. Test of faith.
