Re: Space Missions Inspire Humanity (Feo Amante)

A by-the-book spin tactic is to drag out some superannuated "respected authority" in his dotage and have him spout the party line as everybody goes "awwwww." The next step is to recruit some sweatng sub-literate basketball player to grunt

"Like Mars, you know, team! The goal, man! Bling bling from Mars!"

NASA tried that with the "Challenger disaster," appointing an elderly Nobel Laureate dying of cancer to provide smoke and mirrors substance to their coverup. Alas, NASA grand poobahs chose Richard Feynman - who was neither disposed to go quietly into that good night nor anything less than enthusiastic about stiking pins in hot air balloons even when confronting his own imminent mortality.

Uncle Al says, "There is no 'I" in victory!"

A man going to Mars has a death sentence.
