Well, one could make the argument that there is no more ironically fitting end for a Man-O'-War than as a peaceful refuge for inofensive marine inhabitants whose habitats are dwindling due to man's encroachment.

I just hope they removed all the fuel and oil from her and drained the bilges before they scuttled the Scylla. Otherwise the ensuing oil slick may well have wiped out the very creatures they meant her to serve.

How strange in Nature to find that whatever we tug on is connected to the rest of the world.
