LOL! Yeah, you've got a point. Of course, from my perspective as a Biologist, "parvo-mangano-edenite" sounds like a particularly nasty virus related to polio and animal distempers ("parvo" viruses all). It's more descriptive, though, than "anedenite".
We've got to be careful about letting these new PhDs discover stuff. One of them a few years back discovered a whole new order of insects. "Mantophasmatodea" is kinda lame, too. It'll never catch on in the illiterate circles of government where grant proposals are reviewed for funding. :-)
