Maybe it's because they're getting more sunshine?
Sunshine triggers Suicide

Norway

USA

"Persons under age 25 accounted for 15% of all suicides in 2000"
"For young people 15-24 years old, suicide is the third leading cause of death, behind unintentional injury and homicide. In 1999, more teenagers and young adults died from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, and chronic lung disease combined."(US)
CDC

"Men aged 25-44 made up about 40% of total suicides for 1998"
(This would appear to be the major bulge in the bell curve. AR)
"Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15-24 year-olds"
"The number of suicides by men aged 25-44 has risen by 44% since 1979."
"Youth suicide accounts for 16.6% of the total number of suicides in 1998."
"Suicide is the leading external cause of death among men."
"Elderly suicide accounted for nearly 20% of total suicides in 1998."
(It appears that youth and the elderly combined don't add up to the amount of the 25-44 age group. How can you assert that the 13 to 25 year age group is at the "crest" when it doesn't seem to reach the plurality, let alone the majority? AR)
