Well, it has nice colours, I have to admit.But you also need a computer to convince someone.
The 3d projection of a 4d cube is very simply to draw.
Start with drawing a small cube centered inside a larger cube,with the faces of the two cubes being parallel.Connect with a line each corner of the small cube with the closest corner of the large cube, along the diagonal of the cubes through the corners.
In other words, draw the diagonals of the large cube;they should overlap the diagonals of the small inside cube.Then erase the diagonals inside the small cube (only inside the small cube).
This is your 3d projection of the 4d cube.And it has the advantage that it can be drawn on any napkin.
