Re: Deduce (Kathleen)

"To suppose that the evolution of the wonderfully adapted biological mechanisms has depended only on a selection
out of a haphazard set of variations, each produced by blind chance, is like suggesting that if we went on throwing
bricks together into heaps, we should eventually be able to choose ourselves the most desirable house."

(Waddington, Conrad H. [Professor of Animal Genetics, University of Edinburgh], "The Listener," London, 13
November 1952, in Koestler A., "The Ghost in the Machine," [1967], Arkana: London, 1989, reprint, p127)

Point being (hidden message?) when we will appreciate how easy it is to mutate living things, not how hard, nor the true result for generations.

Wonder if they'll apply their data to us, ie power lines, airports, various types of power plants, submarines, eating irradiated and altered food and medications not fully tested (where do I stop) - across the board?

I suspect there's not enough money on Earth to tackle all environmental issues alone.

That's to say this event wasn't man made (where the nano-tech is) and light bulbs start flashing.

Don't worry - I'm not holding my breath - was even a big reach for some of you.
