Some people mellow with age and/or experience; others just grow rancid.
Is the pain in the past for you, or do you still feel it every day? Are you still on fire? Are the screams still on your lips, or in your ears? The fear of pain when the pain is gone is the pain that can never be ended. Give it up, to god, to hell, to me, to someone. You've endured enough, more than enough. It's time to let go and move on. You've shown that you can endure, you can survive, you can overcome, against horrible odds, through horrific agony. I honor that. I admire that. Now show that you can come back, that you can enter the fold and stand among the others and be with, instead of separate like a bristly cactus just aching for someone to stumble against it and be savagely hurt. You scream with need, yet do not like to have that need noticed or addressed.
You can find Amaranth if you can find Amaranth's corner, and I know you're clever enough to do that. I'll talk to anyone who doesn't send me viruses, and I'm long on patience and tell no tales but my own.
