Northeast Alaska is sitting on 10-15 billion bbl of recoverable oil at least. An Arabian oil well that does not spontaneously shoot oil is capped as "unproductive." Siberia is floating on oil. The northwest coast of Africa is filthy with oil. Even conservative estimates for petroleum resources estimate 40 cubic miles of recoverable petroleum remain.

Call it 100 years until crunch time. Then redrill Santa Barbara.

There has not been a year in the last 30 when reserves did not grow faster than recovery.
