If you can trace any action or event back through each of it's causes and each of those causes' causes, then you can see that our thoughts are not under our control. They are the effect of some cause and in turn they are a cause of an effect. The butterfly effect demonstrates the effect of initial causes on subsequent events. If everything is a cause and effect then everything has to fall a certain way and is already predetermined. Or at least that is the way I see it right now.
After reading a reply of Uncle Al's to your original post I think I need to read a lot more about quantum uncertainty, Because that blows my theory all to hell, or at least half way there.
